ECO Flex: Providing Energy-Efficient Home Upgrades for Non-Benefit Eligible Households in the UK

The ECO4 scheme has been helping eligible households in the UK to access free insulation and energy efficiency upgrades to reduce energy costs and support sustainable living. However, not all households that need support with improving their homes are receiving income-related benefits. That's why the UK government introduced the ECO Flex scheme.

Under ECO Flex, local authorities are provided with more funding to identify residents who would benefit from home upgrades, even if they don't meet the standard eligibility criteria for ECO4. With ECO Flex, households don't have to be on benefits to qualify for funding.

ECO Flex Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for ECO Flex is quite comprehensive. To qualify, your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating must be between E-G if you rent or D-G if you own your home. If your property is not currently on the EPC register, we can help assess it for you.

You must also have a combined household income of less than £31,000.

Alternatively, if you meet the EPC criteria, you can qualify for ECO Flex if you meet the following:

Your home is within a specific postcode identified by your local council.
You receive a council tax rebate (single-person occupancy excluded).
You are identified as vulnerable to living in a cold home: someone in the home is pregnant, disabled or elderly, you have children under 5, or someone in the home has a medical condition.
Your child receives free school meals.
Your home is identified as being in debt to your energy provider.

Another way to qualify is if you are identified by your GP as vulnerable to the cold and on a low income.

Are you eligible for ECO4 Flex?

If you live in a private home (rented or owned) with an EPC rating of D or below and have a combined household income of £31,000 or less, then you are likely to be eligible for this scheme.

If you don’t meet these eligibility criteria, you can still access the government funding if you are living in a private home with a low energy efficiency rating and:

you or a member of your household has a medical condition that makes you more vulnerable to cold
you are over 65 or a member of your family is under the age of 5 or over 65
a member of your household is in receipt of Council Tax Support
a member of your household is in receipt of free school meals, due to low income
you have been referred to the scheme by the council or by Citizen's Advice after being identified as struggling to pay your utility bills

Mineral Wool Insulation or EPS Insulation

When choosing to have an EWI system installed on a property, one of the first things that need to be decided is choosing the type of insulation. The market currently is overflowing with choices when it comes to insulation materials. Usually, the decision comes down between Mineral Wool or EPS as they are the most common materials in the UK.

How do you know which of the two will be more suitable for the property? In this blog article, we will cover the different characteristics and core differences between Mineral Wool and EPS to help you make the right decision.

What is Mineral Wool Insulation?

Mineral wool is fibre-based, loose-fill insulation. It has similar appearance characteristics to fibreglass insulation, however, the main difference lies in its denser and stiffer properties. Just like EPS and other insulation materials, mineral wool is used within an EWI system to improve a property’s energy efficiency.

Mineral wool comes in batts and as loose fill so it can not only be installed in EWI installations but also in lofts, ceilings, roofs and floors.

What is EPS Insulation?

EPS stands for Expanded Polystyrene, which is a foam plastic board comprised of solid beads of polystyrene. It is a solid wall insulation material and is installed in an EWI system to improve the thermal performance of a building. The boards can come in a range of thicknesses to meet any project requirements.

EPS insulation is quite versatile as it can be used on a variety of substrates in combination with an adhesive/basecoat and then secured with EPS fixings.

Fire Resistance

A common myth that in recent years has been debunked is that EPS insulation boards are combustible. The base materials on their own used to manufacture EPS are indeed flammable, however, nowadays manufacturers use fire retardant additives (FRAs) to ensure that EPS features high fire resistance whilst maintaining its cost-effectiveness and efficiency, without compromising on safety.

As for Mineral Wool , it will protect buildings it’s used on from the spread of fire and tests have shown that mineral wool insulation can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000ºC. The insulation will not burn or release toxic gases or smoke when exposed to high heat. This fire rating helps delay the spread of fire in a home, thus improving a home's resiliency.

When it comes to the fire resistance of both of these insulation types, they both guarantee high levels of safety as long as installed correctly meeting the manufacturer’s requirements.

Moisture & Breathability

EPS insulation boards come with a plethora of benefits but one key advantage of using them instead of other materials lies within their water-resistant properties. It’s truly the reason why they make for a great choice to insulate your property and protect it from different weather conditions. If choosing to have EPS insulation installed, your property is guaranteed to a high extent not to suffer from water damage, mildew, mould, etc. You can further improve EPS’ waterproofing properties when it is installed combined with a highly water-resistant render topcoat, for example, a silicone render .

Mineral wool is carefully treated within the manufacturing process to maximise its water-repellency properties. Due to its rot-proof features, the growth of fungi and mould is prevented. Mineral wool is non-hygroscopic and contains a water-repellent additive, which doesn’t allow for water to pass through the layers of insulation.

U-Value Differences & Thermal Performance

EPS has very low thermal conductivity due to its closed-cell structure consisting of 98% air. The air trapped within the cells is a very poor heat conductor and hence provides the foam with excellent thermal insulation properties. The thermal conductivity (U-Value) of expanded polystyrene foam of density 20 kg/m3 is 0.035 – 0.037 W/ (m·K) at 10°C.

The thermal performance of mineral wool is mainly due to the prevention of convection by the entrapment of air in the material's open-cell, woolly matrix. Conduction is reduced since there is very little solid material to provide pathways and the trapped, static air has low thermal conductivity. Its typical U-Value with a standard board thickness of 100mm is 0.035W/mK.

When applied by spraying, follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the mechanical equipment. Immediately after the application, smooth the surface with a solid plastic finishing trowel.

Perform the smoothing by circular strokes until an evenly grained structure is achieved. Move the grains in the applied render finish coat as little as possible during smoothing to avoid material bulges in front of the trowel. In the end, push protruding lumps into the surface by smoothing the surface slightly using a clean stainless steel smoothing trowel.

With inflation baring its teeth at British households, external wall insulation is definitely an option that can increase your energy cost savings. However, how do you know if external wall insulation is right for your home?

Is External Wall Insulation Right For You?

Essentially, what external wall insulation does is reduce the heat lost from your home. It’s a type of insulation that involves fixing an insulating material to external walls, with a protective render over the top.

You will need to be aware of the type of walls the property has to know if you can have external wall insulation installed. If the property was built in the past 20 years, it's likely that it has cavity walls and they have already been insulated. If the property is more than 100 years old, it's likely to have solid walls, which means it will need external wall insulation installed to stop heat from escaping.

As 2022 has now settled in and British households are feeling the pressure of their energy bills going up, every media outlet has that topic on their agenda.

One of the recent stories that reached the public is that of two energy companies making a public apology because they advised people to layer up, cuddle their pets and do some exercise to keep warm.

However, it’s not the consumers that have caused the current energy crisis, the primary reason is the sudden surge in gas prices. Individual homes are affected differently. One main distinction that will separate some houses from the rest is how efficient the building is at keeping the heat in.

For example, two homes are in the same climate and are 15 miles apart. One was built in 1960 and the other in 2015. The house built in the 60s consumed three times more gas than the one built in 2015. Why is that?

Nowadays, it’s standard new-build properties to have had insulation installed, which can increase your energy efficiency rating.

According to research conducted by the Office for National Statistics, there is a significant disparity between British households as 60% of homes have poor energy efficiency ratings (bands F & G).

With so many different types of render available, how do you make the right choice?

Render manufacturers such as JUB are always looking for new ways to blend different materials to come up with the newest render technologies. This is the way to move forward so applicators can benefit from easier application processes and lower maintenance demands.

Back in the day, render used to be a mix of cement, sand and aggregates. This type of render is now classed as old-fashioned since it can’t compete with the appearance, longevity and durability that modern renders provide.

Compared to conventional render, modern options can have many additional characteristics. For example, you will find that a lot of renders have been reinforced to offer water-resistant, algae-resistant and other features.

All external renders you find in the JUB product catalogue offer these features in addition to being UV-resistant. Generally speaking, newer renders like ours are divided into three main categories.

Types of External Renders

Each type of render will have its specific requirements of how to be applied but with the most common ones such as acrylic and silicone, it will usually need one coat that is about 1mm - 4mm.

The costs for each type of external render will also vary depending on how much preparation work is required, the granular sizes of the filler selected and the performance.

Acrylic

Acrylic render is made by adding acrylic resin to the mix. This type of render is on the cost-effective side and is one of the most commonly used renders in façade systems. Due to its production and binding process, acrylic renders offer the biggest variety of colour shades and textures. Our acrylic renders come in ready-mixed tubs, which means they can be directly applied to the substrate.

The main difference between acrylic and silicone renders is within the price bracket and the performance. Acrylic renders wouldn’t be the ideal option for houses or buildings with a lot of traffic or congestion since they can pick up atmospheric loads easier than silicone render.

Silicone

Silicone external renders have gained the most popularity in recent years since it offers so much more than the more traditional solutions. It is a silicone resin-based render, which has been mixed with silicone to provide much better performance and durability.

Our range of silicone renders come in a variety of shades and offer superior water resistance, a long life span and reduced adhesion of dust and other dirt to the surface. Just like acrylic external renders, silicone topcoats don’t require any mixing on site.

The main advantage of our silicone renders is that they are superior in water resistance. This means that once dried water will simply slide off it, which can be considered as a self-cleaning effect. This type of render is highly recommended for houses and buildings in areas that experience high humidity or intense atmospheric loads.

Silicone render is quite versatile and is suitable for modern housing, residential projects and commercial facilities.

Mineral

Mineral renders are cement-based and are bound by lime and polymers to achieve flexibility and breathability when applied. It is again budget-friendly just like acrylic renders. Unlike silicone and acrylic renders, mineral finishes come as a dry mix so they will need to be mixed with water on site.

Mineral renders offer a quick drying time, however, the time is then consumed because, after application, it needs to be painted. The paint seals the render and achieves a long-term solution.

We have a wide range of external paints available that can be used over mineral render and help achieve a long-lasting façade system.

Lime

Lime render is somehow being brought back as an option on the market. However, it is a specialist type of render that requires special preparation and aftercare. It again comes as a dry mix to be prepared for application on-site.

Getting the mixture and application technique right can be tricky so it is highly recommended that lime render is applied by applicators that have specialist knowledge on the subject. An important thing to point out as well is that lime render can be irritant to the skin and applicators must wear protective gear.

Since it is one of the oldest renders, it is commonly used on Grade II listed buildings or heritage sites, where renovation needs to be like-for-like.

Monocouche

Monocouche render arrives on-site as a dry mix to be then blended with water. It is suitable for brickwork and blockwork and its main advantage is that it’s a one-coat render.

This type of render offers a durable finish and fast application but they have less water-resistant characteristics. This means that over time monocouche can absorb dirt easier, which can then require more maintenance.

Types of Render You Won’t Find Anywhere Else

Here at JUB, we have manufactured a series of silicone, silicate and siloxanised renders that have unique characteristics. These include winter-friendly, self-cleaning and shade durability formulas.

JUBIZOL Trend Finish

Our Trend finish is a range of heat-reflective renders utilising darker colours. We developed a breakthrough tinting process that incorporates the new technology of IR Reflexion.

What this does is enable the specification of renders with a light intensity down to 5. This means that the surface temperature of the render is reduced by 15℃ so there are no more limits to using dark coloured renders.

The Trend topcoat and can be used on all types of buildings including large areas, south-facing facades and will not require any form of paint coat to gain a consistent finish.

JUBIZOL Nano Finish

Our Nano finish is a thin-coat high-quality self-cleaning render, whose key components are made in accordance with the latest discoveries in nanotechnologies. Due to a high level of silicone binders and siloxane additives, façade surfaces treated with Nano is more resistant to dust, soot and dirt.

The self-cleaning effect is therefore achieved in places exposed to precipitation. The render adheres well to all types of fine-coarse construction surfaces and base renders of façade thermal insulating systems.

JUBIZOL Unixil Finish

Unixil is a thin-coat render made on the basis of polymeric binders, with selected ratios between fine and coarse filling materials and a combination of modern thickeners, moisteners and siloxane additives. It has a typical evenly grained surface.

This render provides decorative protection to façade wall surfaces of all types of buildings including multi-storey buildings with small projecting roofs. Due to relatively high water-vapour permeability, which is typical for acrylic renders, it may also be applied as the final render in contact façade thermal insulating systems based on mineral wool.

Unixil is also available in a winter grade for use in temperature from 1deg C to 15 deg C and up to 95% humidity.

Product Spotlight: Unixil Render Finish Winter Formula

Late autumn and winter is the most dreaded time of the year for many render applicators as temperatures drop and the chance of rain increases.

The unspoken rule of applying render is that it shouldn’t be installed at temperatures lower than 5℃ and increased humidity during the initial setting period. As humidity levels rise, it causes the render take significantly longer to dry and set. This can result in the render washing off and not being applied efficiently.

How to tackle high humidity and ever falling temperatures

JUB has established this as an issue and in order to help plasterers apply a smooth application of render in more restrictive weather conditions, we have manufactured a reinforced winter-grade topcoat.

The product can be applied in winter weather conditions where temperatures drop to +1℃ and humidity levels rise to 95%.

What is the application process?

To ensure that Unixil Winter Grade is applied efficiently, we have prepared general guidelines to be adhered to.

Prior to the application, the preparation includes applying a base coat, which has to be dry before Unixil is applied. If installed onto a damp basecoat, this will overall prolong the drying time of the render finish.

Important: When mixing, do not add water to the Unixil additive or winter-grade topcoat.

The mixing should be as follows:

Add 1 full 500ml canister of Unixil Additive to one full 25 kg tub of Unixil Winter Grade.
Mix the contents of the tub at a high-speed setting with a drill whisk for at least 2 minutes to ensure that the Additive has fully integrated with the Unixil Winter Grade.
Trowel on the Unixil Winter Grade as normal and texture with a plastic float as standard.

Pro Tip: You shouldn’t clean the plastic float in water in between texturing but clean with the trowel/spatula as the extra moisture will delay the drying process.

Unixil Winter Grade should be weather resistant within 24-48 hours of application, however, the system will still be curing behind the surface, therefore precautions should be taken not to damage or scratch the render until it has fully hardened.

Levels of humidity above 95% may cause a delay in the drying process.

Our JUBOLIN Airless Spray Plaster offers a quick and easy application of sprayed render. It is suitable for a variety of backgrounds including plasterboard, concrete, lime render, cement render, cement fibre boards, chipboards and previously non-absorbent painted surfaces.

The main benefit of using our airless spray plaster is that it’s exceptionally easy to apply, which increases productivity, and fast drying time of 12 hours.

JUB Spray Plaster Application Tips

What we recommend is that our JUB airless spray plaster is to be applied in two coats. Each one of them should be 1 to 2 mm thick, which makes the total two-coat application 3 mm.

If you choose to apply the spray plaster manually, you should use a stainless steel smoothing trowel. Spread the compound across the processed surface, to remove excess compound and to smooth the surface as much as possible.

When sprayed on, the best equipment to use is an airless spray machine. Regarding the specifics, the sprayer should provide a service pressure of 180 to 200 bars. The diameter of the spraying nozzle should be 0.035”. For example, the Graco Mark V fits those requirements and is a well-rounded airless spray machine.

Once the two coats have been applied and dried, you should move on to the next step and sand the final coat. Sanding can be performed manually or mechanically. If the sprayed-on surface has been prepared for more demanding decorative treatment, you can use sandpaper № 150. In any other cases, choose between sandpaper № 80 and 120.

Choice of Products

JUB Render Maintenance Guide: Redecorating your External Render

In this guide, we will cover the topic of how to redecorate your render if required after an examination. By following our guide, you’ll be able to preserve the quality of the applied JUB render or external wall insulation system.

As with all things, when you take care and look after your facade, it will result in reducing the amount of maintenance needed to a minimum for the future.

How to Redecorate External Render: Step-By-Step Guide

Once an examination of the facade has been made and it is deemed necessary for it to be redecorated, here are the steps you should follow:

Cleaning & Primer

The external render should always be thoroughly cleaned before any work has been started. If needed, the facade can be treated with JUB Fungi Wash.

No visible dirt or dust should be left visible. (IMPORTANT: Do not use acid-based cleaners or solvents (mineral spirits/paint thinners, etc) as these products are not compatible and can lead to damage to the external wall insulation system.)

We highly recommend treating the external render with an appropriate paint primer.

Choosing the correct paint

It is important to choose the correct paint needed for the specific type of render. Don’t hesitate to contact our technical department at technical@jub.org.uk , if you need any help with choosing the correct product.

Do not use any masonry paint that has not been advised by JUB Systems UK Limited. This can result in invalidating any applicable warranties and the property will enter a short-term maintenance cycle regime. This is due to the fact that the paint might not be compatible with the render finish.

We strongly advise for the original render’s colour code to be kept on file in some way or another so that we can best match it if needed in the future.

Application

Be wary of painting isolated areas of the external render since they will be noticed against the non-painted sections. We recommend you use a brush when painting small areas. If a big or heavy brush is used especially around windows and trims, this can result in noticeable texture differences.

Larger areas can be painted using a roller, applying vertical strokes that overlay by half the roller width. Depending on the texture and colour of the existing finish it may be necessary to apply the paint in two or three coats.

Pro Tip: Avoid painting in strong daylight as rapid drying can take place.

Ensure that all masking is carried out and if only one elevation is to be painted, then a straight tape joint onto the existing render will be required.

JUB Render Maintenance Guide: Cleaning Render Finishes

Renders are a long-term durable solution for any building but they’re not fully immune to damage that can be caused by a few external factors. For example, mud stains or algae build-up due to environmental conditions.

General Care for your JUB render finish

We highly recommend that every JUB system installed is to be inspected by the installer once completed. In 30 days after completion, the client should then do a follow-up inspection to ensure standards have been met.

Once a year the client should do a check for any further changes that might have occurred.

Pro Tip: Don’t forget to also check all window and door seals annually.

If you notice any changes to the façade or render of the building, you should notify our team and installer with photographic evidence.

Cleaning the JUB finish

Cleaning render is quite straightforward and can be easily done as long as not too much pressure is applied. As soon as you notice dirt forming on the external render, you should take action. Our JUB render finishes can be cleaned by using water-compatible household cleaners and soft, non-metallic bristle brushes.

You will find a variety of products on the market, which are specifically manufactured for the use of cleaning render.

The best solution would be pressure washing the façade. (Pressure should not exceed 1000 psi.) Also, you should keep the washer at least 12 inches away from the render. Keep the washer moving along the façade.

Mud stains can prove to be difficult to clean since render finishes are not stain-resistant. Never scrub the stain aggressively since that can deal irreversible damage. We highly recommend starting by cleaning a small part of the façade.

Pro Tip: Cleaning render will only work when the dirt or stains sit on top of the surface and aren’t embedded within the textured finish.

Cleaning Algae, Mould or Moss

Other difficulties you can face is algae, mould or moss forming on the render finish. These can be a lot more stubborn to deal with and need specially manufactured cleaning render products.

Even though our JUB renders are treated with biocides to prevent this from happening, it is common to see buildings with north-facing, damp walls, within coastal regions or areas of greenery experience algae stains.

The most important thing to do once you have noticed this type of build-up is to act fast. Algae can spread quickly if left untreated and it will continue to grow as time passes. Algae is usually green, black or red.

This indicates the following.

JUB Home ICF System seen for the first time in the UK

The May show at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon was chosen for the public to see the new JUB Home Insulated Concrete Formwork System for the first time in the UK. Constructed from high grade polystyrene, the blocks are manufactured with a 150mm cavity which is filled with concrete on site to create not only an earthquake and waterproof structure, but also a building with superior thermal performance. With U Values ranging from 0.204W/m2K down to 0.084W/m2K, the JUB Home System can surpass current Passive House standards as well as providing benefits not seen before within the industry.

· Unique Through the Wall Concept – JUB are the only company that not only manufactures the ICF block but also the external renders and finishes as well as the internal plasters and paints, meaning there is only one manufacturing point of contact for the whole completed wall structure.

· With 77 building elements for each block size, the JUB Home System is designed NOT to be cut, therefore reducing concrete pumping issues, labour on site and overall wastage.

· 16 pre-designed homes using the ICF blocks.

· European Technical Approval for the System including the external render system.

JUB’s Cavity Rail External Wall Insulation System has been installed as the perfect solution for a number of timber frame properties in Scotland. The BBA and NHBC approved system, incorporates a minimum 20mm drained cavity with limited air flow to allow for any moisture within the structure to drain to the ground, but also keeping the thermal integrity supplied by the external insulation. The JUB organisation has developed a breakthrough tinting process which incorporates the new technology of IR Reflexion into one of our topcoat renders. This now enables the specification of renders with a light intensity down to 5 with an External Wall Insulation system and with the knowledge that the long-term performance is not affected.

This revolutionary render can absorb up to 40% less heat gain and therefore reduce the wall temperature by around 15 degrees Celsius increasing the depth of the colours that can be used. The property was an existing bungalow in the severe weather area of Saltdean, East Sussex, the owners of the property wished to extend it by adding another floor to ensure better views of the sea. The Kingdom House is a vision of a modern energy efficient home of the future, brought to fruition by Oliver and Robb Architects and built to Passive House standards by Campion Homes.

The inclusion of solar panels, PV Cells, Air Source Heat Pumps, Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Units were complimented perfectly with the JUB Premium Facade System to produce a house with a negligible carbon footprint.

The JUB Premium Facade System uses 160mm of Graphite EPS insulation to achieve a ‘U’ Value of 0.19, this system is finished with the Nanosil Self-Cleaning texture.

JUB Approved Applicator G&R Ross Ltd applied the Self-Cleaning, Highly Breathable Silicone Render which uses Nano Technology to inhibit dirt pick up and to prevent staining, perfect for a building like this, with a coastal location, a minimal roof overhang and a large wall area.

JUB were approached by a homeowner looking for a way to cure the condensation problems that their property was having and they were trying to find a cost effective solution.

The solution was our Jubizol MP Insulated Render System as this is installed using a breathable mineral fibre insulant and our Unisil through colour render.

Not only did this solve the condensation problem, it has helped to reduce the customers energy bill.

Revitalcolor AG is an exterior microfibre reinfirced waterborne anti-mildew acrylic paint.

The coating resists algae and mildew growth and contains special water-repellent additives (siloxanes)

It is a durable coating which provides excellent weather and ageing resistance.

Despite other ‘systems’ advertising to the contrary, JUB are true manufacturers of all of the Jubizol Insulated Render System components as none of our products are sourced from other manufacturers and re-branded and sold as a hybrid system.

At JUB we believe that Architects, Specifiers and Clients want the Insulated Render Systems to be designed and delivered by the manufacturer and not a merchant.

Pre-Mixed Plaster

JUB have developed an new type of plaster for internal walls which is 3-4 times quicker to install than traditional gypsum plastering.

Jubolin pre-mixed plaster is a water based polymer which is ready to use straight from the tub. It is used for plastering interior walls and ceilings for surfaces like gypsum boards, fibre-board, wood-cement boards and aerated concrete.

There is no mixing required and Jubolin can be applied with a stainless steel trowel or by a spray machine.

Jubizol MP components are mineral based thus creating a class ‘O’ fire rated External Wall Insulation system.

NHBC – Zurich – Premier

JUB have gained NHBC compliance approval for our Jubizol CR (Cavity Rail) drained cavity rail system.

The Jubizol CR system can be installed with either a Mineral Fibre or EPS insulation board to metal and timber frame structures.

As the name suggests, Jubizol CR is installed using the rail system which overcomes any irregular surfaces.

The Jubizol CR system has been tested by the BBA.

JUB have launched a new self cleaning paint.

Revitalcolor Silikon is a micro-reinforced silicone facade paint which has anti-mildew and special water repellent additives.

It is a highly durable exterior paint which has excellent weather and ageing resistance and it is recommended for industrial and coastal areas.

Revitalcolor Silikon can also be used to bridge hairline cracks (In a combination with Jubosil EX undercoat) on old rendered surfaces.

It is a highly breathable coating which can be tinted using the JUMIX Color System to 222 different colours.

JUB have installed their Jubizol S cement-free insulated render system to a new type of Modern Method of Construction.

This six part detatched house was manufactured off-site and then erected on site saving approx 30% in time against a traditionally constructed house.

The Jubizol S anti-crack render system was specified to reduce the number of applications required against a cement based product.

JUB Insulated render is a very cost effective solution for the off-site manufacturing industry.

JUB have launched a new type of Dry-Lining mortar for use over Gypsum plasterboards.

Jubolin P25 interior levelling paste is a polymer, water based ready to use interior levelling compound which is used as an alternative to traditional dry-mix mortars.

Jubolin P25 is a ready mixed compound and is applied straight from the tub by hand or by a spray machine.

Because of it’s unique formulation it reduces installation times and it also has a 12 month shelf life.

Jub UK have launched a new cement free acrylic basecoat.

Jubizol KS is a pure acrylic basecoat which forms part of the Jubizol S anti-crack acrylic render system.

The highly flexible Jubizol S system is able to span large wall areas to create monolithic rendered facades without movement joints.

Jubizol KS can be applied to a lightweight EPS insulation and finished with a large range of acrylic textures from the Jub colour range.
